Despite recent advances in drug delivery systems and tissue engineering, several challenges still need to be overcome for these new technologies reach patients. The number of cancer cases is increasing yearly, the future projection frightening. Another major health concern rise antibiotic-resistant bacteria. uncontrolled excessive use antibiotics has allowed bacteria undergo mutation processes, decreasing efficiency this sort drug. Therefore, development medical devices a battle against time prevent projections on advancement diseases from being reached. Given scenario, redox-sensitive temperature-sensitive platforms show promising results release bioactive molecules. This review covers most involving obtained inorganic polymeric matrices their structuring as scaffolds 3D printing, focusing potentiality redox temperature sensitivity biomedical applications.
